WAS CELEBRATED THE PAST THURSDAY 25TH OF JANUARY OF 2007
Catai Tours received
last January 25th the award as Best European Tour-Operator
2005-2006 offered by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government
of India. The prize was collected by Pierre Pontico, associate
founder and Director of Contracting of Catai Tours, in
a ceremony that was celebrated in the Hotel Ashoka of
New Delhi..

Catai Tours has received the prize as
Best European Tour-Operator 2005-2006,
offered by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of
India. This prize was framed in the delivery of the National
Prizes of Tourism of India that every year they
reward to hotels, travel journalists, travel agents in
India and foreign tour-operators. The ceremony of delivery
took place the past Thursday 25th of January in the Hotel
Ashoka of New Delhi and was delivered by S.E.
Ambica Soni, Minister of Tourism of India. The
person that collected the prize was Pierre Pontico,
associate founder and Director of Contracting of Catai
Tours, one of the professionals of the tourism with more
experience in Spain.
For Matilde Torres, General Director
of Catai Tours, this prize "has supposed a great
happiness because is a recognition to our work in India,
country where we have been organizing trips since over
25 years". Besides she added "without doubt
exists a special link with India, that goes beyond
the professional and that has to see more with the affections
and the emotions. It is the country where the
career of Catai Tours began and all these years of work
have created a solid network of relations that makes of
India home for us".

Catai Tours carries more than 25 years organizing trips
to India and counts on an extensive experience in this
country, as well as with a complete network of
relations that do of this tour-operator a clear reference
in the tourist sector as for organization of trips to
India. It counts on a complete destination programme
that includes from regular tours to individual trips that
can be ‘made to order’ for the client. Their
speciality is the group tours with Spanish guides, that
by their professionalism and know-how they enrich a lot
the destination. Catai Tours counts on capable professionals
specialized to prepare and to advise to carry out that
trip dreamed to India.
The first antecedent of Catai
Tours goes back to 1975, when their founders,
Matilde Torres, Pierre Pontico, Blanca Garcia and Isabel
Torres begin to organize trips to Asia and especially
to India. With that experience, in 1981 is created
the Tour-Operator "Oriente es Así"
specialized in trips to Asia, continent where India has
always had a fundamental role. After expanding the trips
to other continents, they need to unify the different
marks under a unique image.
That is when Catai Tours is born, in
1987, with the objective to head the market of the large
trips being supported in qualitative aspects more than
quantitative and in two fundamental bases: quality and
innovation. |
